Collect and track WhatsApp Google review requests with Google Sheets and SyncMate
Go to WorkflowDescription
Quick overview
This workflow watches a Google Sheets client list, waits a configurable delay, then sends a WhatsApp review request via SyncMate and logs the status back to the sheet, optionally sending a single reminder after a few days if the client has not marked as reviewed.
How it works
Triggers when a new row is added to a Google Sheets worksheet.
Loads configurable values like the review link, business name, delays, and default country code and combines them with the new row data.
Cleans and validates the Phone field into an international digits-only number and updates Google Sheets with an “Invalid phone” status and notes if it cannot be normalized.
Waits for the configured number of hours and sends a personalized WhatsApp review request using WhatsApp Notifications by SyncMate, then updates Google Sheets as “Requested” with a timestamp or “Failed” with the error message.
Waits for the configured number of days, fetches the latest version of the same row from Google Sheets, and checks whether the Reviewed column equals “Yes”.
If the client is not marked as reviewed, sends one WhatsApp reminder via SyncMate and updates Google Sheets with “Reminder sent” or “Reminder failed”.
Setup
Connect Google Sheets credentials and select the correct spreadsheet and sheet in the Google Sheets trigger and all Google Sheets read/update steps.
Install the community node “WhatsApp Notifications by SyncMate” and add your SyncMate (Assistro) API token credentials.
Ensure your sheet has the columns Name, Phone, Review Status, Review Requested At, Reviewed, and Notes, and that Phone values are unique enough to be used for matching.
Update the Config values for your review link, business name, firstDelayHours, reminderDelayDays, and defaultCountryCode.
After a client leaves a review, set Reviewed to “Yes” in Google Sheets to prevent the reminder from being sent.
