Extract candidate resume data from Gmail to Google Sheets with RChilli
Go to WorkflowDescription
Quick overview
Your team is hiring, resumes are landing in your inbox, and someone is still typing every field by hand -- there is a better way. This workflow monitors your Gmail, reads every resume automatically, and sends every field -- contact details, skills, experience, education, and certifications -- straight to Google Sheets in seconds.
How it works
A resume or CV is received as a trigger -- via email attachment.
The file is sent to RChilli Resume Data Extraction via MCP.
RChilli reads the resume and returns 180+ structured fields including name, email, phone, LinkedIn, skills, job titles, companies, dates, education, and certifications.
The workflow maps each extracted field to the matching column in your Google Sheet.
A new row is added to the sheet automatically with the full candidate record.
If the resume is in French, German, Japanese, or any of 40+ supported languages, RChilli normalizes the output to English so every row in your sheet is consistent.
Setup
Connect your Google account where you receive your resumes.
Connect your RChilli account and add your API credentials to the RChilli MCP node in n8n.
Create a Google Sheet with column headers matching the fields you want to capture -- for example: Name, Email, Phone, Skills, Current Title, Company, Years of Experience, Education, Certifications.
Map the fields returned by RChilli to the columns in your sheet using the n8n field mapping panel.
Run a test with one resume to confirm every field lands in the right column.
Activate the workflow.
